Reconstruction / new construction of bridges on the roads to high mountain pastures

 

Bridge location:

The road from Karakol town to Echkili-Tash village (Sary-Jaz) of Ak-Suu rayon.

Corresponding number on the general plan: ¹ 28.

Name of aiyl okmotu: Karakol aiyl okmotu.

River name: Muz-Bulak.




Actual condition of the bridge/road

The span construction of the 5 m long bridge is missing. The cobblestone bearing pillars are not suitable for the further operation. In wintertime it makes difficult for cars to pass through. New construction is required.

Coverage of high mountain pastures

The road and the bridge cover about 3 800 ha of high mountain pastures. The location is used for grazing. The entire location is at 3 000 m above sea level.

Actual users on the location

The main users of the bridge are: Karakol aiyl okmotu, frontier troops, a weather station and individual stock-breeders of Ak-Suu rayon.

The total number of the main users is 8 farms.

Other potentialities for the use of the location

With the bridge and the road being improved there will be potentialities: for stockbreeding, harvesting of medicinal herbs, tourism and tourist hunting.

Bridge operation

The daily carrying capacity of the bridge and the road is 5 cars (Niva, UAZ), trucks of 15 tons, four – five times a year the bridge is used for livestock migration, it is also used for passers-by and horse riders.
